Author Ivan Balabanov is a three-time member of the USA World Schutzhund Team, and has bred, trained and coached many dogs to National and World Championships at the Schutzhund III level. She and her husband are trained security agents, and train home and business protection dogs. Karen competes in Schutzhund and Ring Sport.
