Shipping

The Dog Athlete charges exact shipping to the extent possible. Our website is programmed to compare the weight and volume of your total order against the USPS shipping charts. Your shipping is calculated based on these charts. Sometimes you will pay more than actual rates and sometimes less, depending on how closely the program was able to determine what the Postal Service would charge. The program also attempts to use “flat rate shipping boxes” when this is the most cost effective method for shipping. We do not add a handling fee unless the order is under $30, in which case a $5 fee is added.

Green Practices

The Dog Athlete uses the least amount of packing material possible, and we never use “peanuts” to ship your order. Regular newspaper is used as a cushion, and packing tape seals the lids of any liquid shipments. We make a sincere effort to minimize our impact on the world through “green” processes wherever possible.
